Sunrise on Samhain page 2

Megan reached the empty road, she looked for her bestie.  He was a few minutes late turning up.  Megan didn't mind a short wait.  In the distance there was the sound of silence heavy in the cool air.  Semi darkness on Halloween didn't scare brave Megan.  Megan loved the peace of dawn.

Megan remembered her great aunt telling her that Halloween comes from the Celtic New Year's Day, that the Celts of Europe called Samhain.  One this day, the ancient Britons believed that the veil between the ghost world and human world was briefly lifted.  

Suddenly, Megan noticed Morgan and a stranger walking towards her.

Megan genoss die Ruhe, uzahrend auf in wartete.  Als er schlieBlich ersehien, hatte er eine strahlendende freudin au seiner Seite.

Morgan wirkte etwas verlegen, " Tut mir leid fur die Verpspatung ich habe gerade mit Alun meinem partner, gesprochen Alun ist ein lrrlicht, ein naturgeist."

Ein leuchtender Alun sagte freudlich, "Ich habe Morgan gefragt, ob ich heute mitkommer kann.  Ich werde e den Weg erhellen.  Ich bin wie eine mobile lampe."

Meg het du stilted geniet terwyl sy vir hom gewag het.  Toe hy well  opdaag was hy saam met'n stralende vriend.

Morgan was skaam, "Jammer ek is last ek het gestop on met Alun, my maat, the praat.  Alun is'n wilgerboom of'n natuurgees."

'n Stralende Alun het in'n beleefel toon gese, "Ek het Morgan gevra of ek vandeg saam met jou kan kom.  Ek sal die pad vir jou verlig.  Ek is'n wandelende lamp."
